LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD recognizes April as Autism Awareness Month. Agency social media and webpage imagery reflect the LBPD autism awareness patch.
In March of 2022, the LBPD in partnership with the Arc of Lancaster-Lebanon launched our first autism awareness patch. The public awareness campaign was designed to bring attention to autism and support local residents through the partnership. Money raised from the sales of the autism patches benefited the Arc in their mission to assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and autism and their families to navigate an often complete system by coming alongside and asking what makes a meaningful life and help identify what is needed to make that happen.
