Lititz Borough - On Monday December 21, 2020, Officer Justin Miller was presented with the Lititz Borough Police Department Life Saving Award.  The award was in recognition of Officer Miller's life saving efforts on November 1, 2020.

The citation that accompanied the award read as follows; In recognition of your life saving efforts on November 1, 2020.  At 4:28 PM, as a member of the Lititz Borough Police Department, you responded for a 71-year-old female who fell down her basement steps and struck her head on the floor.  As you were with the patient she went into sudden cardiac arrest.  You promptly administered CPR and the patient was eventually able to regain her pulse. As a member of the Lititz Borough Police Department, in coordination with other pre-hospital responders, you provided immediate and critical life-saving care.   Your efforts not only resulted in a positive outcome for the patient, but also reflect the core function of law enforcement - to protect life. The Lititz Borough Police Department has systems in place to recognize exceptional performance by agency members. The life-saving award presented in recognition of your professional competence and commitment which resulted in a life saved.
