LITITZ BOROUGH - As we approach the 4th of July holiday, the LBPD is often asked about fireworks being discharged in Lititz Borough. Lititz Borough ordinance prohibits the use of all fireworks except sparklers, therefore making their use illegal.
Although House Bill 543 was signed into law on October 30, 2017 which allowed Pennsylvania residents to purchase class C consumer-grade fireworks, their use in Lititz Borough remains illegal. Residents wanting to report the illegal use of fireworks in Lititz Borough can do so through the police non-emergency dispatch at 717-664-1180. Any emergency situation, such as a fire danger from falling debris or an immediate danger to life, should be immediately reported through 911.
