LBPD Officer Tyler Weinoldt and Officer Andrew Heise recently attended the PA DUI Association's 40th Annual Meeting, October 23-25, 2019, in Pittsburgh, PA. They received training in many aspects of impaired driving and related issues.
Officer Tyler Weinoldt received recognition as a "2019 DUI Top Gun," presented by the PA DUI Association.
Officer Weinoldt was among 23 municipal police officers, 3 municipal Drug Recognition Experts (DREs), 40 members of the Pennsylvania State Police and 3 Pennsylvania State Police Drug Recognition Experts (DREs) to receive recognition.
This Annual Meeting marks the 22nd anniversary of the DUI Top Gun Awards. Since the inception, over 1,000 police officers have been recognized as a "Top Gun." Collectively over the last 22 years, these 1,000 police officers have removed 48,034 impaired drivers from Pennsylvania Roadways.
The LBPD remains committed to protecting our roadways from the dangers posed by drug and alcohol-impaired drivers. Congratulations to Officer Weinoldt, and the other recipients, on your recognition.
