The LBPD would like to thank Stray Production Services for illuminating the front of the police station blue for Police Week.
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that day falls as Police Week. National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
In 2020, National Police Weeks is Sunday, May 11 through Saturday, May 17.
The pictures of the police station in this release are courtesy of Donald Reese Photography, and show the appearance of the police station during the 2018 display.
Thank you Stray Production Services and Donald Reese Photography, we appreciate this great gesture of support!
