Over the past couple of weeks, the LBPD has received several complaints about vehicles parked in the "loading/unloading" zone on Kleine Street.  There are three parking spaces on Kleine Street, between Pine Lane and Warwick Street, which are properly posted for this limited use, identifying the following conditions:

• Loading/unloading only
• Monday-Friday
• 7:00AM-4:00PM
• 30-minute limit
• Vehicles must use flashers

Recently, complaints have been received about vehicles disregarding the loading/unloading special use, and using these spaces as regular (sometimes extended) parking during the load/unload hours.  As with all enforcement action, the LBPD applies a commonsense approach in evaluating the most-desired outcome, balancing the need for enforcement against the nature and severity of the issue, and in consideration of other available resolution options.  The primary goal in situations where repeated violations occur is public education to encourage voluntary compliance and community awareness.  However, under appropriate circumstances, vehicles parked illegally in this zone will be ticketed.  As in all areas of the Borough, please be aware of any parking regulations which may be posted.  Thank you.
