LITITZ BOROUGH - Emergency locator signs will be placed inside the Craft Show event footprint to aid in emergency location identification.

The Craft Show customarily attracts thousands of visitors to Downtown Lititz, many of whom are from outside the area and may not be aware of street names or other geographical reference points which would be needed to quickly identify their location in an emergency. 

The signs are strategically placed and utilize a unique alphanumeric reference which can be referenced by communications and emergency service providers as a location reference when ascertaining information from a 911 caller or other reporter. Design features such as sign height above crowd attendees and high-visibility color schemes to contrast against the background are intended to aid in easy identification.

The emergency locator signs are just one product of pre-operational planning and risk hazard identification and mitigation strategies employed by unified emergency service functions serving the Borough of Lititz.
