While many people are staying at home, physical distancing, being unable to go to work and kids out of school, there are more stressors on families. Unfortunately, these stressors can cause domestic situations to become unsafe.
Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County has help available for those that may need it right now.
Attached is a copy of their COVID-19 Emergency Plan for Domestic Violence Services.
Victims seeking crisis and/or safety planning services can call the 24-hour hotline at 717-299-1249. Starting on April 3, 2020, victims will be able to text SAFE to 61222 to connect directly with an advocate.
You can read more about their program at caplanc.org/ourprograms/safety-empowerment/.
You can reach the LBPD at 717-664-1180 for non-emergencies and 911 for emergencies.
