The LBPD patrol function investigated a crash that occurred on 04/08/2020 at 1:25 PM at the intersection of South Broad Street (SR0501) & West Orange Street (SR0772).

A vehicle driven by Summer E. JEFFRIES (age 31) of Manheim failed to respond to a stopped line of traffic ahead of her and struck a vehicle driven by Michael A. THOMPSON (age 61) of Lititz who was stopped in the travel lane.  No injuries were reported but JEFFRIES' vehicle required towing from the scene.  A summary traffic citation was filed against JEFFRIES alleging a violation of the PA Vehicle Code, section Following too closely.  JEFFRIES has been summoned to respond in District Court.

JEFFRIES is presumed innocent.
