FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The LBPD patrol function investigated a crash that occurred on 12/11/2019 at 2:41 PM on West Second Avenue at its intersection with West Lemon Street.

A vehicle driven by a 17 year-old male juvenile from Lititz, failed to stop for a stopped line of traffic ahead of him and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 17 year-old female from Lititz.  This caused the 17 year-old female's vehicle to strike the vehicle ahead of her, which was driven by Brianna R. AY (age 18), of Lititz.  No injuries were reported but the 17 year-old male's vehicle required towing.  A summary traffic citation was filed against the 17 year-old male alleging a violation of the PA Vehicle Code, section titled Following too closely.  The 17 year-old male has been summoned to respond to District Court.

The 17 year-old male is presumed innocent.
