FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The LBPD patrol function investigated a crash that occurred on 10/09/2019 at 6:05 AM at the intersection of South Broad Street (SR0501) and West Marion Street.

A vehicle driven by Nora G. HESS (age 60), of Lancaster, entered into the intersection, failing to yield to the right-of-way of an oncoming vehicle driven by Kevin R. WHITE (age 33) of Lititz, resulting in a collision.  This collision forced WHITE's vehicle into the oncoming lane when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by Russell G. SNAVELY (age 67), of Lititz.  No injuries were reported, but all three vehicles required towing.  A summary traffic citation has been filed against HESS, alleging a violation of the PA Vehicle Code, section Duties at Stop Signs. HESS has been summoned to respond to District Court.

HESS is presumed innocent.
