FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The LBPD patrol function investigated a crash that occurred on 07/30/2019 at 5:19 PM on South Broad Street (SR0501) at the intersection of West Center Street.

A vehicle driven by Michelle M. SHOLL (age 48), of Bethel, PA, struck the rear of the vehicle ahead of her, driven by Tammy S. GEHMAN (age 48), of Lititz, which had stopped in the travel lane due to stopped traffic ahead of her.  A 16 year-old passenger inside SHOLL's vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries sustained in the crash.  SHOLL's vehicle required towing from the scene. A summary traffic citation has been filed against SHOLL, alleging a violation of the PA Vehicle Code, section Careless Driving.  SHOLL has been summoned to respond to District Court.

SHOLL is presumed innocent.
