LITITZ BOROUGH - The LBPD patrol function filed a summary non-traffic citation against a 16 year-old female juvenile, alleging she committed the crime of Disorderly Conduct.
On 05/21/2022 around 2:59 PM, LBPD patrol officers responded to a vehicle crash in the 100 Block of South Oak Street. The crash investigation revealed a vehicle driven by a 17 year-old male juvenile had struck a legally parked, unoccupied, vehicle. A 16 year-old female passenger, who was seated in the front seat, "yanked" the steering wheel while the male juvenile was driving. This action caused that vehicle to leave the lane and strike the parked vehicle, which was parked along the curb. No injuries resulted from the crash, however, both vehicles involved required towing. The female juvenile was released from the scene after parental notification. The female juvenile has been summoned to respond to District Court. Due to the juvenile's age, no other identifying information is being provided.
The juvenile is presumed innocent.
