On 10/14/15 at 1419 hours East Hempfield Township Police were dispatched to 667 Champ Blvd. for a report of a pedestrian struck in a farm field.  Upon arrival Police located an 89 year old male that had been struck by a truck in a field off of the above address. The male had been watching the corn and grain harvesting on the farm at the time of the accident.   The 89 year old male was pronounced deceased on scene.  A 21 year old male was operating the truck that was involved.  At this time the accident is being investigated by East Hempfield Twp. Police.  Additional details will be released as they become available.  The investigation continues at this time.  

UPDATED Release:  

The victim of the fatal farm accident on 10/14/15 was Weidler Grube, 89 year old male, from Manheim, PA.  The driver of the truck that struck Mr. Grube is Travis Weaver, 21year old male, from Manheim, PA.
