Q: Can I obtain a copy of a police incident report?
A: No, but we can provide an incident confirmation report. A confirmation report is a one-page document that contains minimal information to include: nature of offense/investigation; date/time reported; location; name of investigating officer; and the specific incident number. The fee to obtain a confirmation report is $5.00. Please contact the department in advance if you are requesting a confirmation report, so that records staff have sufficient time to prepare it. Due to privacy issues with regards to names, addresses, personal info, etc., as well as the sensitivity of police investigations, we can NOT provide copies of actual incident reports to members of the public.
Q: Can I obtain a copy of a vehicle crash report?
A: Yes! If you are one of the involved parties, you can obtain a copy of a crash report for a fee of $15.00. Insurance companies and attorneys are also authorized to obtain copies of crash reports if they insure or represent one of the parties involved. Please contact the department in advance if you are requesting a copy of a crash report, so that records staff have sufficient time to prepare it.
Q: What is the curfew in East Hempfield Township?
A: It shall be unlawful for a minor to remain in or upon any public place, or to remain in any motor vehicle operating or parked therein or thereon, or to remain in or upon an establishment in East Hempfield Township between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday nights and 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. There are a few exceptions within the ordinance.

We are NOT authorized to accept payments, pleas, etc. associated with citations. This must be handled before the Magisterial District Judge.

A: Parking tickets issued by EHTPD can be paid at the police department, either in-person during normal business hours (M-F, 8:00am-4:00pm), or be sent by mail.
