The East Hempfield Township Police Department is currently accepting resumes with cover letters from interested and qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer. Candidates are requested to submit their resume and cover letter to the attention of Chief Jennifer Brubaker. GENERAL INFORMATION

The East Hempfield Township Police Department was formed in July 1963, and has grown to a current staff of 35 police officers and 4 civilian support employees. The department provides 24/7 service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of East Hempfield Township.  The department is responsible for a jurisdiction covering 21 square miles with 140 miles of roadway and containing a population in excess of 26,000. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older

Must be able to perform essential job functions and complete a competitive process including but not limited to oral interviews, physical and psychological examination, polygraph examination, and comprehensive background investigation

Must possess a high school diploma or GED Equivalency

Must have a valid PA operator's license at the time of application deadline

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and provide proof of citizenship

Must meet or exceed all requirements and conditions for certification under MPOETC Act 120, the East Hempfield Township Police Department Police Officer Job Description, and the EHTPD Selection and Hiring policy

SELECTION PROCEDURE
