The annual Kenneth Neidinger Officer of the Year is awarded to the officer, regardless of rank or assignment, who best exemplifies the Department’s sworn personnel during the year. The selection is based upon professionalism and exemplary service during the previous year.  Nominations are submitted by peers and supervisors. 

This year, the award was presented to Officer Christopher Keen.

The annual Community Policing Award is presented to an employee who developed community partnerships, identified and solved problems, implemented new initiatives or programs, and/or promoted meaningful results from partnerships and problem solving skills. 

 The award was presented to Officer Jason Skiles

In addition, the department also present Merit awards to Detective Sergeant Matthew Pohleand and Officer Jason Skiles for the performance of outstanding police work in important apprehensions of robbery and thefts suspects.

A Unit Citation was presented to Sgt Anthony Lombardo, Officer William Watt, Officer Matthew Miller, and Officer Ethan Etter for outstanding accomplishment that was the result of teamwork. The officers worked together earlier this year to locate an elderly man who was missing from his home.
