The men and women of the East Hempfield Township Police Department are committed to enhancing the quality of life in our township by providing a safe and secure environment for you to live, work, and visit.    Their successes translate to safer roads, reduced crime, and a terrific quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Our Objectives: 

  • To reduce crime and disorder in the township.
  • To promote traffic safety through education and enforcement.
  • To enhance relationships and interaction with the community.
  • To adopt a problem solving approach to policing.
  • To increase agency efficiency and professionalism.

Since 2011, the township has experienced a  significant decrease in  crime, while seeing a growth in census, a significant number of commercial and residential projects, and an increase in road miles.  I credit the proactive and highly visible work of police officers and detectives along with an enhanced interaction with members of our community.  It is my hope that users interact with this site and our officers to develop strong relationships with the police department while we work together to fight crime in our township.
