POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 9/8/21 THRU 9/19/21

HARASSMENT: On 9-9-21 at 1755 hrs, police responded to the 3700 block of Columbia Ave for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, Kevin Jenkins (44) of Mountville was charged with Harassment (M3).

THEFT: On 9-10-21 police received a theft report in the 200 block of E Main St.  Sometime between 1330-1415 hrs on 9-9-21, actor(S) removed three packages from a porch.  Total estimated value of loss $370.00.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 9-11-21 at 1804 hrs, police responded to the 3100 block of Dale Dr for a disturbance in progress.  Following investigation, Akim Forbes (49) of Windsor Mill, MD was charged with Simple Assault (M2), Strangulation (M2) and Defiant Trespass (M3).

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 9-11-21 at 0046 hrs, police responded to the 2800 block of Columbia Ave for a drunkenness in progress complaint.  While enroute, police passed the truck and observed it turn into the Turkey Hill parking lot, 23 Centerville Rd.  Following investigation, Chad Matthew Brooks (32) of Columbia was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-13-21 police responded to Rail Connect, 3901 Nolt Rd, for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 9-10-21 and 9-13-21, actor(s) spray painted symbols, words and shapes in blue, yellow and green on rail cars and track switching targets.  Unknown amount of damage at this time.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 9-13-21 the School Resource Officer responded to a disturbance within Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.  Following investigation, a 15-year-old male student of Columbia and a 15-year-old male student of Mountville were both cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-14-21 Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, reported two soap dispensers were torn from the wall in the art bathroom on 9-13-21.  Following investigation, a 16-year-old male student and a 14-year-old male student both of Lancaster were cited with Criminal Mischief (S).  Total estimated value of damage $110.00.

ACCIDENTS INVOLVING DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY: On 9-14-21 Albert Cheeks, Jr (47) of Randallstown, MD was charged with Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury (M1), 7 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2), Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3), 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and multiple summary traffic violations, stemming from a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle 9-3-21 on Route 30 eastbound near the Marietta Ave overpass.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 9-15-21 Centerville Middle School, 865 Centerville Rd, reported a student removed a soap packet from a bathroom and then returned it.  Following investigation, a 13-year-old male student of Mountville was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 9-16-21 Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, reported a bathroom being vandalized by egg being smashed on one of the sinks.  Following investigation, a 17-year-old male student of Mountville was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

HARASSMENT: On 9-16-21 Bradford Brock (63) of East Petersburg was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 9-7-21 at Root’s Country Market & Auction, 705 Graystone Rd.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-17-21 police responded to the Dollar Tree, 165 Rohrerstown Rd, for a vandalism report.  Several times in September 2021, actor(s) spray painted lettering on the outside of the building.  Total estimated value of loss $100.00.

THEFT: On 9-17-21 police responded to the Heritage Hotel, 500 Centerville Rd, for a theft report.  Sometime between 9-14-21 at 1200 hrs and 9-17-21 at 1500 hrs, actor(s) removed the license plate from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $115.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-17-21 police received a vandalism report in the 2800 block of Columbia Ave.  A 13-year-old male of Lancaster was cited with Criminal Mischief (S) for taking the cell phone from another 13-year-old male and throwing it to the ground causing damage.  Total estimated value of damage $100.00.

THEFT: On 9-18-21 police responded to the 600 block of Springton Way for a theft that just occurred.  An unidentified male removed a package the that had just been delivered, from the front doorstep. Total estimated value of loss $78.41.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 9-18-21 at 0239 hrs, police responded to the 2100 block of Swarr Run for a domestic.  Following investigation, Domonic Sabastian Ortiz (22) of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2), taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.
