Police Incidents from 9/7/16 to 9/23/16

BURGLARY:  On 9-4-16 police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Hyde Park Drive for a report of a theft from a garage.  RP reported that unknown actor(s) entered their open garage and removed a bicycle from the wall. Total loss: $750.00.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  On 9-5-16 a victim reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle, parked near the Giant on Centerville Road, and took cash and an Android phone. Total value: $120.00.

THEFT: On 9-6-16 a subject reported the theft of a purse containing cash from Amos Herr Park. Total amount of loss: $110.00.

THEFT:  On 9-3-16 police were dispatched to a field north of Kelly Cadillac for a report of a theft of a John Deere Gator. Total value: $7500.00.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  On 9-6-16 police were dispatched to the 900 block of Cardinal Road for a report of a vehicle break-in.  Someone entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and took checks.  Total loss: $250.00.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On 9-6-16 another resident on Cardinal Road reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took approximately $10 to $15 cash.        

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS:  On 9-11-16 police observed an occupied vehicle in the CVS parking lot on Centerville Road at 0031 hours. Upon investigating, police made contact with a Joel Antonio RIVERA-BERRIOS (33) of Lemon Street, East Petersburg.  As a result of their investigation, RIVERA-BERRIOS was charged with Public Drunkenness.

THEFT BY DECEPTION:  On 9-9-16 police responded to the 2100 block of Swarr Run Road for a fraud report. The victim stated she received a phone call from a subject claiming to be from the IRS and to mail them money she owed. Total loss $450.00.

THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING:  On 9-8-16 police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Pennwood Road for a report of a missing mailbox. Victim reported that they discovered their mailbox missing and the post knocked over. Total loss: $200.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  On 9-10-16 police responded to the 100 block of Main St and found that an American flag had been damaged. Total value of damaged items: $20.00.

POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA:  On 8-18-16 at 2235 hours following a vehicle stop on Rt. 30,  driver, Mohamed Bahaa HUSSEIN (29) of Yonkers, NY was cited with speeding and charged with Possession of a Small Amt of Marijuana.

HARASSMENT- On 9-12-16 police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Columbia Avenue for a disturbance. After investigating, police cited Jason MASSE (27) of same address with Harassment.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  On 9-15-16 police were dispatched to Lancaster Nissan on Main Street for a vandalism report.  The victim reported that his vehicle was keyed while parked in the lot.  

POSSESSION OF SMALL AMOUNT OF MARIJUANA:  On 9-19-16 in the 100 block of Welsh Drive, officers conducted a vehicle stop.  Following an investigation, Cheyenne ACOSTA (24) was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS:  On 9-19-16 police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Columbia Avenue for an intoxicated male.  As a result of their investigation, police charged John Samuel BARTON III (63) of Columbia Avenue with Public Drunkenness.

HARASSMENT (DV): On 9-20-16 police responded to the 3400 block of Columbia Avenue for a disturbance. As a result of their investigation, police cited Leionel PEREZ (41) of same address with Harassment.  

DISORDERLY CONDUCT:  On 9-20-16 police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Marietta Avenue for an attempted burglary call. As a result of their investigation, police cited Oscar A GARCIA (19) of Parklawn Court with DC.

UNDERAGE DRINKING:  On 9-21-16 Hempfield High School,  School Resource Officer Henry assisted the school with a report of a student that had been drinking.  As a result, a 16 year old male student was cited for purchase, consumption or transportation of liquor or malt brewed beverage.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  On 9-21-16 officers were called to the 600 block of Good Drive at Women’s & Babies Hospital for a report of criminal mischief.  Victim reported that her vehicle was keyed on the driver side door.  Estimated damage: $250.00.
