BURGLARY: On 7-17-20 police received a burglary report from Dutch Valley Auto Works, 3331 Columbia Ave. Sometime between 7-10-20 and 7-17-20, actor(s) removed three catalytic converters from vehicles on the secured lot. Total estimated value of loss unknown at this time.
RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON: On 7-17-20 Emmanuel Pierre (18) of Lancaster was charged with 3 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2) and multiple summary traffic violations and Shayne Gavilan-Hartley (20) of Lancaster was charged with 3 counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2), Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substance (M) and multiple summary traffic violations. On 4-23-20 Pierre and Gavilan-Hartley were traveling on Rt 283 westbound at a high rate of speed when they impacted each other causing a vehicle accident.
RETAIL THEFT: On 7-20-20 Mark Anthony Rodgers (44) of Elkton, MD and Samantha Sue Slicer (30) of Elkton, MD were both charged with 2 counts of Retail Theft (F3) and 2 counts of Criminal Conspiracy-Retail Theft (F3). Rodgers and Slicer entered Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, on 5-26-20 and 6-2-20 removing $3,294.61 in baby formula from the store without making payment.
PA DOG LAW: On 7-21-20 Richard Myers (59) of Landisville was cited with Confined Within Premises of the Owner (S), stemming from an incident 7-13-20 in the 1300 block of Bamford Ave, where Myers’ dog was found running loose.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 7-21-20 Asialee Melendez (21) of Lancaster was cited with Criminal Mischief (S), stemming from an incident 6-21-20 at the Travelodge Motel, 2101 Columbia Ave. Melendez damaged a television and mirror causing an estimated $340.00 in loss.
WARRANT SERVICE: On 7-21-20 police responded to the 3100 block of Columbia Ave for suspicious activity. Following investigation, John W Herr (41) of Marietta was found to have 3 warrants through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department. Herr was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.
