POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 7/1/21 THRU 7/14/21

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 7-1-21 police responded to the 1500 block of Landisville Rd for a dog running at large.  Following investigation, Amanda Nolt (40) of Manheim, was found to be the owner and was cited with Confined Within Premises of Owner (S).

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 7-5-21 at 0248 hrs, police responded to Royal Farms, 260 Rohrerstown Rd, for a suspicious activity.  Following investigation, Hector Luis Nieves, Jr (45) of Pottstown was cited with Public Drunkenness (S)

WARRANT SERVICE: On 7-6-21 police responded to a reckless driver complaint on Route 283 eastbound in the area of State Rd.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Ryanna Harris (28) of Leola, was found to have a warrant through Chester County.  Harris was taken into custody and turned over to a state constable.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 7-6-21 police responded to the 2300 block of Mayfair Dr for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 7-5-21 2200 hrs and 7-6-21 0800 hrs, actor(s) slashed all four tires of a vehicle parked on the street.  Total estimated value of damage unknown at this time.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 7-7-21 police conducted an Aggressive Driving Detail on Route 30 eastbound in the area of Rohrerstown Rd.  A vehicle was stopped for speeding and the driver, Elaina Hoffmaster (23) of Columbia, was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Hoffmaster was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE PURSUANT TO DUI: On 7-8-21 Troy McClain (55) of Harrisburg was charged with Driving with Suspended/Revoked License Pursuant to DUI-3rd Offense (M3), stemming from a traffic stop 7-3-21 on Route 283 West near Spooky Nook Rd.

THEFT: On 7-8-21 Diego Brito-Gonzalez (20) of Harrisburg was charged with Theft (M3), stemming from an incident 7-3-21 at Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd.  Brito-Gonzalez is alleged to have removed cash from a wallet in an unsecured locker.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY: On 7-9-21 Rashawn Haliek Melendez (28) of Lancaster was charged with Receiving Stolen Property (M1), stemming from an incident 7-6-21 at Red Carpet Inn, 2101 Columbia Ave.  Melendez was found to have an IPAD in his possession that was previously reported to police as stolen. 

FLIGHT TO AVOID APPREHENSION: On 7-10-21 at 1153 hrs, police responded to the 3400 block of Nolt Rd to serve a felony warrant for West Hempfield Township Police Department on James Andrew Strube (25) of Columbia.   As officers approached Strube, outside a residence, he fled on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed.  Strube was charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension (F3), Fleeing and Eluding Officer (M2) and several summary traffic violations.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 7-10-21 police responded to the 300 block of Church St for a theft report.  Sometime between 7-9-21 at 2100 hrs and 7-10-21 at 1500 hrs, actor(s) removed cash and tools from 2 vehicles, deflated 2 tires and damaged a tire valve stem.  Total estimated value of loss $700.00.  Total estimated value of damage $20.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 7-10-21 at 1738 hrs, police responded to Route 283 East in the area of Rohrerstown Rd for a reckless driver complaint.  The vehicle and driver were located in the 1700 block of Rohrerstown Rd.  Following investigation, Joshua Sharp (22) of Mammoth, AZ was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M) and several summary traffic violations.  He was taken into custody, transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded, unable to post bail.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 7-10-21 police responded to the 1800 block of Rohrerstown Rd for a dog running at large.  Following investigation, Jennifer Clark (36) of Lancaster was found to be the owner and was cited with Confined within Premises of Owner (S).

THEFT: On 7-11-21 police responded to the 2200 block of Mill St for a theft report.  Sometime between 2200-2255 hrs this same date, actor(s) removed cash from a residence.  Total estimated value of loss $160.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 7-12-21 police received a theft from vehicle report that occurred in the 1700 block of Swarr Run Rd.  Sometime between 0800-1600 hrs on 7-8-21, actor(s) removed a Trilithic signal strength meter from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $5,200.00.

ACCIDENTS INVOLVING DAMAGE TO ATTENDED VEHICLE: On 7-14-21 Diane Meek (78) of Lancaster was charged with Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3), stemming from a hit and run crash 7-6-21 at Aldi, 2210 Embassy Dr.

THEFT: On 7-14-21 police received a theft report in the 2900 block of Nolt Rd.  Sometime between 1730-2200 hrs on 7-13-21, actor(s) removed the license plate from a motorcycle, damaging the bracket in the process.  Total estimated value of loss unknown at this time.  Total estimated value of damage $120.00.
