POLICE INCIDENTS 5/6/22-5/15/22

RETAIL THEFT: On 5-5-22 at 0953 hrs, police responded to the Dollar General, 3515 Columbia Ave for a retail theft that just occurred.  A juvenile male opened a pack of Jack Links beef jerky and a Dr Pepper cream soda and started consuming them before making payment.  When approached by staff to make payment, the juvenile ran from the store.  The 17-year-old male of Mount Joy was located minutes later on Hampden Dr in the area of Yorkshire Dr, taken into custody, charged with Retail Theft (S) and then transported to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.  Total estimated value of loss $8.40.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 5-5-22 at 2053 hrs, police responded to the 500 block of Caroline Ct for a parking complaint.  A female was blocking other vehicles in the parking lot from moving.  When asked to move her vehicle, she refused, turned the engine off, exited the vehicle and shouted obscenities and threatened to beat up the caller.  As a result, Melanie Cabrera (19) of Landisville was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S).

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 5-6-22 Patrick Woodard (57) of Elizabethtown was cited with Public Drunkenness (S), stemming from an incident in the 2500 block of Marietta Ave on 5-5-22 at 2240 hrs.

BURGLARY: On 5-6-22 police responded to Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative, 201 Running Pump Rd, for an attempted burglary and a theft from vehicle that occurred 4-24-22.  A male was captured on video surveillance trying to pry open the rear door of the building with a large screwdriver-type tool.  Entry was not made.  The male is then seen removing a box of antique dishes from the rear seat of a vehicle in the parking lot.  Total estimated value of loss $50.00.  Total estimated value of damage $50.00.

UNDERAGE DRINKING: On 5-9-22 a 16-year-old male student of Landisville was found to be in possession of a Sprite bottle containing alcohol at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.  The juvenile was cited with Possession of Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages by Person under 21yrs Old (S).

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: On 5-9-22 a 16-year-old male student of Landisville was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (M), stemming from an incident 4-5-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

HARASSMENT: On 5-10-22 a 15-year-old female student of East Petersburg and a 15-year-old female student of Lancaster were both cited with Harassment(S), stemming from an incident 4-27-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

DEFIANT TRESPASS: On 5-13-22 police responded to Red Carpet Inn, 2101 Columbia Ave, for a trespass in progress.  Following investigation, Timothy Casey (59) of Lancaster was taken into custody, charged with Defiant Trespass (M3) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 5-15-22 police responded to Centerville Rd in the area of Hempfield Rd for a disturbance in progress.  Following investigation, Allan Jimenez (24) of Mount Joy was found to have a warrant through Cambria Township Police Department.  Jimenez was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.
