POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 10/6/20 THRU 10/18/20

THEFT OF SERVICES: On 10-6-20 Richard Swymelar (35) of Royersford, PA was charged with Theft of Services (F3), stemming from a fraud reported 9-23-20 by Heritage Hotel, 500 Centerville Rd.  Swymelar is accused of identifying himself as Richard Bowers and providing a false business name and corporate credit card number for staying at the hotel and renting multiple rooms for over 49 days between 8-3-20 and 9-21-20.  Total estimated value of loss $25,097.38.  Swymelar is currently incarcerated in Bucks County Department of Corrections on unrelated charges.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 10-7-20 Christelle Kilian (39) of Lancaster was cited with Confined Within Premises of Owner (S), stemming from an incident 10-5-20 in the area of Nolt Rd and Michener Dr, where Kilian’s Pitbull chased a female juvenile for a short distance before stopping. 

POSSESSION OF A WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On 10-8-20 a 16-year old male student of Lancaster was charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Property (M1) and Simple Assault (M2), stemming from an altercation at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, this same date.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 10-9-20 Jonathan Smucker (20) of Paradise was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Criminal Mischief (S), stemming from an incident 9-7-20 at Intricate Precision Manufacturing, 2970 Old Tree Dr.  Smucker is accused of removing and damaging political signs that were posted on the property.  Unknown value of loss at this time.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-12-20 Luz James (31) of York was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M) and multiple summary traffic violations, stemming from a one vehicle crash on Route 30 eastbound mile marker 260.3 on 10-2-20.

SIMPLE ASSAULT:  On 10-12-20 a 17-year old male of Landisville was charged with Simple Assault (M) and Harassment (S), stemming from an altercation 9-11-20 at Turkey Hill, 298 E Main St.

FALSE REPORTS: On 10-13-20 Diane Frederick (34) of Landisville was charged with False Reports (M3), stemming from an incident 10-7-20 in the 200 block of Elizabeth St.  Frederick reported the tires of her vehicle were slashed at her residence overnight.  It was later learned that the tires were damaged at another location.

THEFT: On 10-12-20 police received a theft report from Turkey Hill, 1991 State Rd, for a theft that occurred 10-11-20.  Two males were captured on video surveillance entering the store, one distracted the clerk and the other entered the office and removed 5 cartons of Marlboro Menthol Light cigarettes.  Total estimated value of loss $600.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-13-20 police responded to the 700 block of Scarsdale Cr for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 10-11-20 at 2020 hrs and 10-13-20 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) deflated the tires of a vehicle.  Unknown vale of damage at this time.

THEFT: On 10-13-20 police responded to Lowes, 25 Rohrerstown Rd, for a reported theft.  On this date, actor(s) removed a leaf blower from the back of a pickup truck while parked in the Lowes parking lot. Unknown value at this time.

THEFT: On 10-14-20 Juma Seleman (32) of Lancaster was charged with Theft of Mislaid Property (M3), stemming from an incident 9-19-20 at Everest International Grocery, 1621 Columbia Ave.  A patron dropped his wallet in the parking lot and Seleman was captured on video surveillance picking up the wallet and leaving with it.  Total estimated value of loss $65.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-14-20 police conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Ridgeview Ave.  Following investigation, Jennifer Fallas (39) of Lancaster was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M) and a summary traffic violation.

THEFT: On 10-16-20 police responded to the 300 block of Bethel Dr for a reported theft.  Sometime between 10-15-20 1730 hrs and 10-16-20 0930 hrs, actor(s) removed a political sign from a yard.  Unknown value of loss at this time.
