WARRANT SERVICE: On 10-27-21 Jacob Lebron (22) of Marietta was at the East Hempfield Township Police Department, 1700 Nissley Ave, on an unrelated matter. It was discovered that the Sheriff’s Department had a warrant for his arrest. Lebron was detained and turned over to a Sheriff’s Deputy.
RETAIL THEFT: On 10-28-21 at 0020 hrs, police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft that just occurred. A male reached behind the counter, took two Black and Mild cigars and left without making payment. Total estimated value of loss $1.58.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-28-21 police responded to the 2000 block of Swarr Run Rd for a vandalism report. Sometime between 10-27-21 at 0001 hrs and 10-28-21 at 1338 hrs, actor (s) left pry marks and a scratch on a Leer truck cap. Total estimated value of damage $900.00.
THEFT: On 10-28-21 Mary Jane Reed (88) of Lancaster was charged with Theft (F3) and Theft by Deception (F3). Reed worked as a paralegal managing an estate and between November 2020 and July 2021 and is alleged to have deposited $31,983.03 of the estate funds into her personal account.
SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 10-28-21 a 15-year-old female student of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault (M2), stemming from a disturbance 10-21-21 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.
ENDANGERING WELFARE OF CHILD: On 10-29-21 Marilyn Kim (29) of Lancaster was charged with Endangering Welfare of a Child (F3), stemming from an incident 9-22-21 at Chesterbrook Academy, 2304 Harrisburg Pk.
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On 10-29-21 a 13-year-old male student of East Petersburg was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M), stemming from an incident at Centerville Middle School, 865 Centerville Rd, this same date.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 11-2-21 John Ben Garcia (20) of Lancaster was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault-Victim Less Than 13 (F1), 2 counts of Endangering Welfare of Children (F1) and 1 count of Endangering Welfare of Children (F3), stemming from an investigation opened 9-14-21 in the 1500 block of Ridgeview Ave. A warrant was issued for Garcia’s arrest. Garcia was located 11-3-21 in the 100 block of N Broad St, Lancaster, and taken into custody.
THEFT: On 11-2-21 police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Garden Center, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a theft report. Sometime between 11-1-21 at 1600 hrs and 11-2-21 at 0858 hrs, actor(s) removed pieces of a truck including the battery, grill and headlamp configurations. Unknown value of loss at this time.
