POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 9/8/22 THRU 9/15/22

HARASSMENT: On 9-7-22 Matthew G Parker (28) of Deptford, NJ was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 9-3-22 at Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 9-9-22 at 2035 hrs, police responded to Good Dr in the area of Spring Valley Rd for a one-vehicle accident.  Following investigation, Ahmed Yarow (48) of Lancaster, was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-3rd Offense (F3), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol BAC .02 or greater-2nd Offense (M3), Possession of Marijuana (M) and multiple traffic violations.  Yarrow was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 9-9-22 police responded to Paparo Cycle Shop, 2201 Marietta Ave, for a theft report.  Sometime between 8-29-22 and 9-9-22, actor(s) removed the license plate from a trailer in the parking lot.  Estimated value of loss $12.00.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 9-9-22 police responded to America’s Auto Auction, 1040 Commercial Ave, for a stolen vehicle report.  Sometime between 9-7-22 at 1400 hrs and 9-9-22 at 1000 hrs, actor(s) took an unlocked 2021 Ford Escape from the parking lot.  Total estimated value of loss $28,400.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-12-22 at 1000 hrs, police received a retail theft report from Turkey Hill, 2171 Columbia Ave.  At 0940 hrs a male entered the store, requested a pack of cigarettes and proceeded to open the pack and walk out of the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $6.35.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-12-22 police responded to God’s Missionary Church, 2323 Marietta Ave, for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 9-11-22 at 2300 hrs and 9-12-22 at 0600 hrs, actor(s) entered an unlocked church bus in the parking lot that had the keys in it and backed it up striking a Japanese Maple Tree in front of the church.  The tree was broken off almost to the ground.  Total estimated value of damage $4,000.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-12-22 at 1916 hrs, police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft in progress.  A female with a cart full of groceries used the self-checkout register to make her purchase.  The female, Vanessa A Klaus (43) of Columbia was approached by officers in the parking lot and they discovered she only paid for 3 of the items in her cart.  Klaus was taken into custody and charged with Retail Theft (M1) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.  Total estimated value of loss $325.83.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 9-13-22 police received a theft from vehicle report that occurred 9-8-22 in the 100 block of Cooper Ave.  Sometime between 1800-1830 hrs on 9-8-22, actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a residence and removed a wallet from a purse.  Total estimated value of loss $212.00.

PROTECTION FROM ABUSE VIOLATION: On 9-13-22 police responded to the 2200 block of Marietta Ave for a Protection from Abuse violation.  Following investigation, Benjamin T Reichenbach (34) of Lancaster was taken into custody and charged with Arrest for Violation of Order (M).  Reichenbach was transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded, unable to post bail.

HARASSMENT: On 9-14-22 a 15-year-old female student of Manheim was charged with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 9-7-22 at River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 9-14-22 at 1151 hrs, police responded to Noel Dorwart Park, 405 Good Dr, for a vehicle break in.  Sometime between 1000 hrs and 1150 hrs, actor(s) broke the rear passenger’s side window of a vehicle and removed a purse.  Total estimated value of loss $295.50.  Total estimated damage $300.00. While on scene at this location, a second vehicle owner reported their purse was removed from their unlocked vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $208.50.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 9-15-22 at 2011 hrs, police responded to the 2000 block of Swarr Run Rd for a disturbance in progress.  Following investigation, a 16-year-old male of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats and Criminal Mischief.

BURGLARY: On 9-15-22 police responded to Prestige Gymnastics, 3549 Hempland Rd, Suite A for a burglary that occurred between 2342 hrs and 2349 hrs on 9-14-22. Total estimated value of loss $970.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-15-22 police received a vandalism report in the first block of Naomi Ave.  On 9-14-22 a juvenile male was captured on video surveillance knocking a basketball hoop to the ground.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-15-22 Vanessa Klaus (43) of Columbia was charged with 2 counts of Retail Theft (M1), stemming from 2 incidents at Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill, 301 Rohrerstown Rd.  On 9-2-22 and 9-4-22 Klaus was captured on video surveillance filling a shopping cart with items.  She then makes payment at the self-checkout register, but only scans a few of the items in the cart and leaves without paying for the rest.  Total estimated value of loss $642.14.  A warrant was issued for her arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 9-15-22 Jose Luis Machado Jr (33) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M), stemming from a reckless driver complaint on 8-26-22 at 2225 hrs in the 3100 block of Columbia Ave.
