POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 4/1/22 THRU 4/13/22

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 4-1-22 at 1117 hrs, police responded to Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave, to assist the School Resource Officer with a weapon offense.  Following investigation, a 15-year-old male of Mountville was charged with Aggravated Assault (F2), Terroristic Threats (M1), Possess Weapon on School Property (M1) and Harassment (S).  The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Youth Intervention Center.

RETAIL THEFT: On 4-4-22 at 1457 hrs, police responded to Nu-Wave Wireless, 570 Centerville Rd, for a panic alarm.  Following investigation, it was learned that two males entered the store, dismantled clamps on (3) iPhone cell phones and fled the store with the phones when the alarm sounded.  Total estimated value of loss $2,900.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 4-6-22 police responded to the Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, for a retail theft not in progress.  At approximately 1030 hrs this date a male was captured on video surveillance entering the store and filling a hand cart with multiple items, then leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $209.58.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 4-8-22 police received a vandalism report from Hempfield Water Authority that occurred at the 28 South Avenue location.  Sometime between 3-31-22 and 4-5-22, actor(s) spray painted “satan 666” on the water tower.  Total value of loss unknown at this time.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 4-8-22 police responded to the Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Rd, for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 4-7-22 at 2300 hrs and 4-8-22 at 0800 hrs, a vehicle drove over the baseball field leaving ruts in the grass and dirt.  Total estimated value of damage $1,000.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 4-8-22 police responded to Sheetz, 2149 State Rd, for a retail theft report.  On 4-7-22 video surveillance captured three individuals entering the store and removing a twelve-pack of beer and four to five 16oz alcoholic drinks and then leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.

DOG LAW VIOLATION: On 4-8-22 police responded to the 2800 block of Marietta Ave for a dog running loose in the area.  Following investigation, the dog owner Jordan McLain (32) of Lancaster was cited with Confined Within Premises of Owner (S).

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 4-8-22 Keanna Sarfert (26) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M1) 2nd Offense, stemming from a traffic stop 4-4-22 at 2248 hrs on Rohrerstown Rd in the area of Albern Blvd.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 4-11-22 Jose Lopez-Serrano (45) of Columbia was charged with Simple Assault (M2), stemming from an incident 4-5-22 at Stir Foods, 501 Richardson Dr.

RETAIL THEFT: On 4-11-22 Thomasina Larue (37) of Lancaster was charged with Retail Theft (F3), 2 counts of Identity Theft (M1) and 2 counts of Access Device Fraud (M1), a warrant was issued for her arrest.  Larue was captured on video surveillance at Subway, 245 Centerville Rd, on 3-31-22 picking up a debit card left on the counter by a customer.  Larue then used the debit card to purchase cigarettes at Turkey Hill, 298 E Main St, and groceries at Giant, 550 Centerville Rd.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 4/11/22 police responded to the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center, 101 Champ Blvd for damage to a wall.  Following investigation, Jonathan Salinas (18) of Strasburg was cited with Criminal Mischief (S) for punching a hole in a wall in the Career Technology Center.  Total estimated value of damage $100.00.

FORGERY: On 4-12-22 at 1853 hrs, police responded to Roots Country Market & Auction, 705 Graystone Rd, for an individual passing counterfeit money.  Following investigation, Phillip Bernard Bennett III (49) of Harrisburg was charged with Forgery (F2) and 2 counts of Theft by Deception (M3).  Bennett III was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

BURGLARY: On 4-12-22 Austin Wayne Woodford (32) of Downingtown was charged with 2 counts of Burglary (F2) and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  The charges stem from a joint investigation with Manheim Township Police Department into a burglary 6-2-21 at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 1533 Columbia Ave, and a burglary at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Manheim Twp.  Woodford was located at his residence in Downingtown on 4-13-22, taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.   

ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO ATTENDED VEHICLE: On 4-13-22 Ahmad Mohammad Alrosan (33) of Baltimore, MD was charged with Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3) and multiple summary citations, stemming from a 2-vehicle hit and run crash on route 30 westbound in the area of Running Pump Rd on 3-22-22.
