POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 3/9/23 THRU 3/19/23

THEFT: On 3-9-23 police responded to the first block of N Donnerville Rd for a theft report involving a stroller that was removed from the front porch.  Total estimated value of loss $200.00.

FORGERY: On 3-9-23 Joyceleen Montes-Ortiz (29) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Forgery (F3), Theft by Deception (F3) and Conspiracy-Theft by Deception (F3), stemming from incidents that occurred in July 2022 at Belco Credit Union, 201 Good Dr. 

PA DOG LAW: On 3-9-23 a dog was found running loose in the 200 block of Stanley Ave.  Following investigation, Barbara Stinson (71) of Landisville was found to be the owner and was cited with Confined Within Premises of Owner (S).  Stinson had been warned previously of the Pennsylvania Dog Law.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 3-14-23 a 14-year-old female of Columbia, a 13-year-old female of Landisville and a 13-year-old male of Landisville were charged with Criminal Mischief (M2), stemming from an incident 2-10-23.  The juveniles allegedly threw bricks at a residence in the first block of Bank St breaking two windows and damaging a third.  Total estimated value of damage $1,000.00.

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE DUI RELATED: On 3-14-23 Ian M White was charged with Driving with Suspended/Revoked License-DUI Related (M3), stemming from a traffic stop 3-4-23 on Route 30 West in the area of Marietta Ave.

ASSAULT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER:  On 3-14-23 a 15-year-old male student of Lititz was charged with Assault of Law Enforcement Officer (F3) and Institutional Vandalism (M2), stemming from an incident 3-8-23 at River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir. 

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 3-16-23 Brett C Rhoads (36) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and several summary traffic violations, stemming from a 2-vehicle crash on 2-10-23 at 2853 Spring Valley Rd.

FORGERY: On 3-17-23 Luis Alberto Cornejo Tovar (64) of Florida was charged with Forgery (F3) and Identity Theft (F3), stemming from an incident 2-8-23 at S&T Bank, 310 Centerville Rd.  Cornejo Tovar allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent check using another person’s identity.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT: On 3-18-23 police responded to Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd, for a theft report.  Sometime between 1050 hrs and 1110 hrs, actor(s) removed an iPhone 12 from a sink in the men’s bathroom.  Total estimated value of loss $1,200.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 3-18-23 police responded to the first block of Park Circle Dr for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 3-17-23 at 0900 hrs and 3-18-23 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) scratched heavy marks going around the entire vehicle and scratched a word into the hood and the trunk of the vehicle.  Total estimated value of damage $2,000.00.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: On 3-19-23 at 1230 hrs, police responded to the 100 block of Treetops Dr for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, Wayne Edward Jones (29) of Lititz was charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault (F2), 3 counts of Endangering Welfare of Children (F3), 2 counts of Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2) and possession of Firearm Prohibited (F2).  Jones was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison, where he was arraigned on the charges, denied bail and remanded.
