POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 3/4/22 THRU 3/16/22

THEFT: On 3-7-22 police responded to the 1700 block of Columbia Ave for a theft report.  Sometime between 3-3-22 at 1700 hrs and 3/7/22 at 0900 hrs, actor(s) removed an 18’ black metal trailer from a parking space in the Wheatland Shopping Center.  Total estimated value of loss $4,500.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 3-7-22 Lori Brill (62) of Mountville was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (M) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from a single vehicle crash on 2-6-22 at 1426 hrs on Stony Battery Rd in the area of Marietta Ave.

RETAIL THEFT: On 3-9-22 Michael Larbi (23) of Dover, DE was charged with Retail Theft (F3), stemming from an incident 1-16-21 at Veleska Jewelry, 2943 Columbia Ave.  Larbi told staff he was there to purchase an engagement ring and he selected 5 diamond rings to view.  After staff placed the rings in a tray to be viewed, Larbi grabbed the tray of rings and fled the building.  Total estimated value of loss $32,300.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

NOISE ORDINANCE VIOLATION: On 3-11-22 Unique Fry (24) of Lancaster was cited with a Noise Disturbance (S), stemming from an incident 3-1-22 at 2347 hrs in the 2000 block of Swarr Run Rd.

HARASSMENT: On 3-11-22 David Scott Ruland (53) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 2-15-22 at Lowe’s, 25 Rohrerstown Rd.

BURGLARY: On 3-14-22 police responded to the 100 block of Church St for a burglary report.  Sometime 3-14-22 between 0112-0135 hrs, actor(s) used a cinder block to break a glass pane on the man door of a detached garage.  Nothing appears to be missing.  Total estimated value of damage $200.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 3-14-22 police responded to Women & Babies Hospital, 690 Good Dr, for a retail theft that occurred in the BellaBoo children’s boutique on 3-8-22.  Two women were captured on video surveillance taking several items, concealing them on their person and leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $60.75.  Following investigation, Sarah Werner (35) and Susanna Wirkus (39) both of Lancaster were each charged with Retail Theft (F3) and Conspiracy-Retail Theft (F3) on 3-15-22.  Warrants were issued for their arrest.  Werner and Wirkus were located 3-15-22 in the 200 block of E King St, taken into custody and arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Chudzik.  Werner was released on her own recognizance and Wirkus was committed to Lancaster County Prison, unable to post her bail.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 3-15-22 Charles Kuzdro (24) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from a single-vehicle crash 2-18-22 in the first block of Good Dr.

STRANGULATION: On 3-15-22 at 2339 hrs, police responded to the 2600 block of Columbia Ave for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, Joshua David Flores (31) of Lancaster was charged with Strangulation-Domestic Violence (F2) and Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2).  Flores was taken into custody, transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded unable to post bail.
