THEFT: On 3-25-22 police received a theft report regarding a dealer vehicle registration plate that fell from a vehicle at Wawa, 1990 Miller Rd, on 3-25-22 at 1325 hrs as it was being filled with gas. When the driver realized the tag was missing and returned to retrieve it, it could not be found. Video surveillance captured the registration plate falling to the ground and a male picking it up and placing it into his truck before leaving Wawa.
RETAIL THEFT: On 3-28-22 police received a retail theft report from BJs Wholesale Club, 110 Centerville Rd, that occurred on 3-19-22. A male and female were captured on video surveillance leaving the store with a 75” Vizio television that they did not pay for. Total estimated value of loss $722.00.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 3-28-22 Paul Rinear (37) of Ephrata was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M) and Possession of Controlled Substance (M), stemming from an incident 3-22-22 at Red Carpet Inn, 2101 Columbia Ave.
HOME IMPROVEMENT FRAUD: On 3-28-22 Robert Santmyer (54) of Mount Joy was charged with Home Improvement Fraud (F3) and Theft by Deception (M1), stemming from a report received by police on 1-10-22. A resident in the 3700 block of Little Mac Dr entered into a contract with Santmyer 8-2-21 to remove a tree from his property and paid a deposit of $1,600.00. Santmyer never cut the tree down or refunded the deposit. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
WARRANT SERVICE: On 3-31-22 police responded to the 3400 block of Columbia Ave for a domestic in progress. Following investigation, Kristofer Watson (30) of Lancaster was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department. Watson was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.
HARASSMENT: On 3-31-22 a 12-year-old male student of East Petersburg was cited with Harassment(S), stemming from an incident 3-23-22 at Centerville Middle School, 865 Centerville Rd.
HARASSMENT: On 3-31-22 a 17-year-old female student of Lancaster was cited with Harassment(S), stemming from an incident 3-28-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.
