POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 2/3/23 THRU 2/13/23

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-3-23 police responded to the 3400 block of Nolt Rd for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 1800 hrs and 2030 hrs, actor(s) used orange traffic cones to smash two mailboxes.  Total estimated value of damage $450.00.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 2-3-23 at 1607 hrs police responded to the 2800 block of Harrisburg Pk for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, Erick Javier Muniz-Leon (32) of Lancaster was taken into custody, charged with Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2) and Harassment (S) then transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 2-5-23 police responded to the Racquet Club West, 200 Running Pump Rd, for two thefts from vehicle reports.  Sometime between 1900 hrs and 2200 hrs, actor(s) accessed two parked vehicles by smashing passenger side windows and taking the purse from inside.  Total estimated value of loss of $615.00.  Total estimated value of damage $500.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-6-23 police responded to River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir, for a vandalism report.  On 2-3-23 a 17-year-old male student of Manheim punched a hole in the wall of a classroom.  Total estimated value of damage $500.00.

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE:  On 2-6-23 Cynthia D Matterness was charged with Driving with Suspended License DUI Related-3rd or Subsequent Violation (M3), stemming from a traffic stop 1-31-23 in the 1500 block of Columbia Ave.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 2-7-23 Mark Ressler (46) of Ephrata was charged with Simple Assault (M2) as a result of an incident that occurred on 1-23-23 in the 500 block of Champ Blvd.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 2-8-23 at 0753 hrs, police responded to Mercedes Benz of Lancaster, 5100 Main St, for a stolen vehicle report.  During the early morning hours of 2-8-23, unidentified actor(s) stole a black colored 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat from the lot of the business.

HARASSMENT: On 2-8-23 police responded to the 1700 block of Swarr Run Rd for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, a 15-year-old male of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S).

RETAIL THEFT: On 2-9-23 police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft that occurred on 2-4-23, in which an unidentified male exited the store without making payment for items totaling $39.48 in value.

ACCIDENTS INVOLVING DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY: On 2-9-23 Aaron Lee Secrest (63) of Manheim was charged with Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury (M1) and several summary traffic violations, stemming from a two-vehicle accident on 1-30-23 in the 1900 block of State Rd. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-10-22 police responded to the 100 block of Church St for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 1200 hrs and 1930 hrs, actor(s) threw a brick through a window in a detached garage.  Total estimated value of damage $100.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-10-23 police responded to the 100 block of Bank St for a vandalism report.  At approximately 1842 hrs, actor(s) threw three bricks at a residence breaking two windows while the homeowner was present.  Total estimated value of damage $1,000.00.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 2-10-23 at 2300 hrs, police were on Route 30 westbound in the area of Centerville Rd investigating a single-vehicle accident.  Samuel Wilfred Thomas Jr (30) of Owing Mills, MD was found asleep in his vehicle after he didn’t respond to officers directing traffic.  Following investigation, Thomas was taken into custody, charged with Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance-2nd Offense (M1) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On 2-10-23 at 0205 hrs, police responded to the 500 block of Landisville Rd for a trespass in progress.  Following investigation, Brice Haskell Smith (32) of Elizabethtown was charged with Criminal Trespass (F3) and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

RETAIL THEFT: On 2-11-23 police responded to Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, for a retail theft report.  On 2-5-23 an unidentified male pulled up to the front of the store and placed two bundles of Dura Flame logs into his vehicle.  The male then entered the store, took a loaf of bread and birchwood fire starters and exited the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $82.16.

RETAIL THEFT: On 2-11-23 at 1404 hrs, police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft in progress.  Following investigation, Kenneth David John (74) of Lancaster was charged with Retail Theft (S) for placing four packages of Freshpet dog food in his pants and attempting to leave the store.  Total estimated value of loss $30.16.
