POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 2/24/22 THRU 3/3/22

RETAIL THEFT: On 2-24-22 police responded to the Wine and Spirits Shop, 1761 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft report.  Two males were captured on video surveillance entering the store at 2015 hrs, picking up 2 bottles of Casamigo Blanco and leaving at 2020 hrs without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $99.99.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 2-25-22 a 16-year-old male student of Leola was charged with Criminal Mischief (S), stemming from an incident 2-23-22 at River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir.

PROTECTION FROM ABUSE VIOLATION: On 2-27-22 Heriberto Morales-Rivera (45) of Lebanon was charged with Indirect Criminal Contempt (M3), stemming from an incident 2-26-22 in the 3200 block of Harrisburg Pk.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.  On 2-27-22 Lebanon City Police Department located Morales-Rivera, took him into custody and turned him over to East Hempfield Township Police Department.  He was then transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded on $25,000 bail.

THEFT OF VEHICLE PARTS: On 2-28-22 police responded to Leed Truck Center, 402 S Chiques Rd, for a theft of vehicle parts report.  Sometime between 2-24-22 at 2100 hrs and 2-26-22 at 0830 hrs, actor(s) removed 1 catalytic converter from a vehicle and damaged 1 catalytic converter attempting to remove it from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $700.00.  Total estimated value of damage $700.00.

THEFT: On 2-28-22 Keith A Bucher (43) of Mount Joy was charged with Theft (M1), Theft of Secondary Metal (M1) and Criminal Mischief (M2), stemming from an incident 11-9-21 at Community Fellowship Church, 200 Bethel Dr.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

WARANT SERVICE: On 2-28-22 police were dispatched to the Route 30 westbound exit ramp to Rohrerstown Rd for a panhandling complaint.  Following investigation, Joshua Pittenger (41) of Lancaster, was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Pittenger was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 2-28-22 Paul Rinear (37) of Ephrata was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M) and Use/Possess Drug Paraphernalia (M), stemming from an incident 2-17-22 at Red Carpet Inn, 2101 Columbia Ave.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 3-2-22 at 0137 hrs, police responded to the 300 block of Bethel Dr for a vehicle break-in that just occurred.  The vehicle owner observed 2 individuals in his vehicle and asked what they were doing.  The individuals took off on foot running through yards.  Police were unable to locate them.  Following investigation, the vehicle left behind by the suspects was found to be stolen from Willow Street.
