POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 12/20/22 THRU 12/28/22

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 12-20-22 Jeremy Albert Rodriguez-Teruel (29) of Hershey was charged with 2 counts of Theft by Deception (F3).  Rodriguez-Teruel was employed by Candlewood Suites, 100 South Tree Dr, and in November 2022 he allegedly performed 2 unsolicited customer refunds totaling $11,790.60 and put the funds into his own bank account.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 12-21-22 police responded to the Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, for a fraud report.  On 12-20-22 at 1730 hrs, a male is captured on video surveillance purchasing gift cards with three $50.00 bills and one $20.00 bill all of which were counterfeit.  Total estimated value of loss $220.00.

THEFT: On 12-21-22 police responded to Shanks Extracts Inc, 350 Richardson Dr, for a theft report.  Sometime between 0900 hrs and 1200 hrs, actor(s) rummaged through an employee purse on a storage shelf in the employee break room and removed credit cards and a social security card.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 12-21-22 police received a vandalism report of graffiti on the overpasses along Route 30 West at Good Dr and Route 30 West at Rohrerstown Rd.  Unknown estimated value of damage at this time.

ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD: On 12-22-22 at 2333 hrs, police responded to Sheetz, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a theft report.  At 2109 hrs, the victim used his credit card to remove cash from the ATM machine and then left the store without the credit card.  The victim then received notification on his phone that the card was used again at Sheetz moments after he left the store.  Total estimated value of loss $10.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 12-22-22 police received a vandalism report that occurred in the 800 block of Centerville Rd.  Sometime between 12-21-22 at 0200 hrs and 12-22-22 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) scratched the driver’s side of a truck from the driver’s door to the rear. Estimated value of damage unknown at this time.

BURGLARY: On 12-22-22 Samuel Antonio Matias (32) of Manheim was charged with Burglary (F1) and Criminal Mischief (S), stemming from an incident 12-19-22 in the 1300 block of Timothy Dr.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.  On 12-23-22 Matias was located in the 900 block of Lebanon Rd by Manheim Borough Police Department, taken into custody and turned over to East Hempfield Township Police Department for transport to Lancaster County Prison.

FORGERY: On 12-23-22 Manuel J Ortiz Jr (25) of Mountville and Koryna Joi Costello (22) of Lancaster were both charged with 2 counts of Forgery (F2), Theft by Deception (F3), Conspiracy-Theft by Deception (F3), Bad Checks (M1) and Conspiracy-Bad Checks (M1), stemming from incidents at the Belco Community Credit Union, 201 Good Dr, from 8-2-22 to 8-4-22. Warrants were issued for their arrests.

THEFT: On 12-23-22 police received a theft report in the 100 block of Broad St.  Sometime between 0840 hrs and 1600 hrs on 12-17-22, a package containing a printer was taken from the common area of the apartment complex.  Total estimated value of loss $250.00.

HARASSMENT: On 12-23-22 at 0713 hrs, police responded to Turkey Hill, 23 Centerville Rd, for a disturbance in progress.  Following investigation, Heraldo Gomez-Urdanivia (50) of Lancaster was charged with Harassment (M3), Luis Maldonado Santana (40) of Lancaster was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Yosier Zaldivar Llanes (38) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S) and Disorderly Conduct (S).

STALKING: On 12-27-22 Aga Lal Thapaliya (38) of Lancaster was charged with Stalking (M1) and Harassment (M3), stemming from multiple incidents in the 1700 block of Linwood Ave from October 2022 to present.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 12-27-22 police conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Marietta Ave.  The driver, Prentis Carter (44) of Willow Street, was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Carter was taken into custody and transported to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 12-27-22 Cory Nicholas Eby (31) of Pequea was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and several summary traffic violations, stemming from a traffic stop in the first block of Peacock Dr on 12-21-22 at 2337 hrs.

RETAIL THEFT: On 12-27-22 Jennifer Lynn Leed (43) of Columbia was charged with Retail Theft (S), stemming from an incident 11-23-22 at Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd.
