POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 11/10/22 THRU 11/17/22

RETAIL THEFT: On 11-10-22 a 17-year-old male of Landisville was charged with Retail Theft (S), stemming from an incident 11-1-22 at Sheetz, 2149 State Rd.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 11-10-22 Winston Sutherland (39) of Landisville was charged with Theft by Deception (M2), stemming from an incident 11-4-22 at Turkey Hill, 298 E Main St.  Sutherland allegedly used a counterfeit $100.00 bill to purchase 2 packs of cigarettes and received $81.91 in change.  Management discovered the bill was counterfeit prior to Sutherland leaving the store and he returned the cigarettes, but left with the $81.91 in change.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 11-13-22 police conducted a traffic stop on Marietta Ave in the area of Running Pump Rd.  The driver, Mark Anthony Chimelis (39) of Lancaster, was found to have a warrant for Robbery out of Lancaster City Police Bureau.  Chimelis was taken into custody and turned over to Lancaster City Police.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 11-14-22 a 16-year-old female student of Lancaster, a 16-year-old female student of Mountville and a 14-year-old female student of Mountville were all cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident on a Hempfield school bus on 11-11-22.

HARASSMENT: On 11-14-22 a 17-year-old student of Lititz was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 11-7-22 at River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 11-14-22 a 12-year-old male student of Mountville was charged with Simple Assault (M2) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 10-12-22 at Centerville Middle School, 865 Centerville Rd.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 11-14-22 a 14-year-old male student of East Petersburg was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 10-20-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 11-14-22 a 17-year-old male student of Landisville was cited with Public Drunkenness (S), stemming from an incident 11-8-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 11-14-22 a 16-year-old male student of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault (M2) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 11-9-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11-15-22 police responded to Noel Dorwart Park, 405 Good Dr, for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 1420 hrs and 1450 hrs, actor(s) broke the rear passenger window of a vehicle and removed a purse from the vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $80.00.

THEFT: On 11-15-22 police received a theft report that occurred at Oak Leaf Manor North, 2901 Harrisburg Pk.  Sometime between 11-4-22 and 11-12-22, actor(s) removed a gold chain with a Jewish symbol on it and an iPhone 11 cell phone from a resident’s room.  Total estimated value of loss $1,600.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 11-16-22 at 1143 hrs, police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a shoplifting in progress.  A male was observed leaving the store with a basket full of groceries that were not in bags.  When approached by management requesting to see a receipt, the male ran towards Good Dr and out of sight.  Value of loss is unknown at this time.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 11-16-22 at 1353 hrs, police responded to Sheetz, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a suspicious activity.  Following investigation, Daniel Welwood (30) of Manheim, was found to have a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Welwood was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD: On 11-16-22 Seth Snyder (31) of Manheim was charged with Access Device Fraud (M1).  Snyder, former treasurer of the Hempfield Fire Department, 19 W Main St, allegedly used the fire department’s vehicle fuel credit card to make 5 fuel purchases between 6-12-22 and 7-31-22 to fuel his personal vehicles.  Total estimated value of loss $319.91.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 11-16-22 Nary Duong (28) of Lancaster was charged with Theft by Deception (F3), stemming from an incident 8/1/22 at Citadel Bank, 340 Rohrerstown Rd.  Duong allegedly wrote herself a check, deposited it into a closed account and then withdrew money from the same account.  Total estimated value of loss $5,051.31.  A warrant was issued for her arrest.

THEFT: On 11-16-22 Kerick Erisman (29) of Landisville was charged with Theft (M1), stemming from an incident 10-31-22 in the 1500 block of Sylvan Rd.  Erisman allegedly entered a farm stand and removed the cash from the register.  Total estimated value of loss $235.00.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

FALSE REPORTS: On 11-17-22 Douglas Javon Parker (24) of Lancaster was charged with False Reports (M2) and multiple summary traffic violations, stemming from an incident 10-30-22 at 0339 hrs.  Parker reported that he was assaulted, robbed and his vehicle was stolen.  The vehicle was located at 0347 hrs in the 3000 block of Marietta Ave and it was clear that it was involved in a crash at this location.  Investigation revealed Parker was driving his vehicle at the time of the crash.
