POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 10/21/22 THRU 10/31/22

THEFT: On 10-21-22 two 17-year-old males were charged with Theft (F3) and Conspiracy to Commit Theft (F1), stemming from an incident 9-16-22 in the 2200 block of Marietta Ave.  The males took a vehicle, which became disabled in a one-vehicle accident at Peters Rd and Lititz Pk in Warwick Township.

RETAIL THEFT: On 10-21-22 Edward Joseph Donnegan (32) of New Holland was charged with Retail Theft (F3), stemming from an incident 9-7-22 at That Fish Place, 237 Centerville Rd.  Donnegan is accused of removing several fish from the store without making payment.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-22-22 police responded to the 1000 block of Mil Mar Rd for a vandalism report.  At approximately 2300 hrs, a resident heard a loud bang outside and discovered their mailbox and post were damaged.  Total estimated value of damage $150.00.

THEFT: On 10-23-22 police responded to Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd, for a theft report.  Sometime between 1800 hrs and 2000 hrs on 10-20-22, a wallet was lost on an outdoor soccer field.  The wallet was located 10-23-22 and turned over to staff.  The wallet no longer contained any cash.  Total estimated value of loss $300.00.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-24-22 police responded to Royal Farms, 260 Rohrerstown Rd, for a vandalism report.  On 10-23-22 at 2000 hrs, a male is captured on video surveillance putting gas in a vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle then leaves the location with the pump hose still in the vehicle.  The pump hose was detached from the pump and fell from the vehicle.  The male, who pumped the gas, picked the hose up and placed it by the pump without notifying the store.  Total estimated value of damage is unknown at this time.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-25-22 John K Messick (45) of Pequea was charged with Criminal Mischief (M3), stemming from an incident 10-19-22 at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, 2160 State Rd.

THEFT: On 10-25-22 a 13-year-old male of Lancaster was charged with Theft (M1), stemming from an incident at Hempfield Rec Center, 950 Church St, on 7-1-22.    

THEFT: On 10-25-22 police responded to the 1700 block of Landisville Rd for a theft report.  At approximately 0945 hrs, a male stopped at a farm stand and removed $20.00 from the cash box.

RETAIL THEFT: On 10-26-22 police responded to Sheetz, 2149 State Rd, for a retail theft that occurred on 10-24-22 at approximately 1646 hrs.  A female is captured on video surveillance entering a cooler and removing a package of Bud Light beer and a package of White Claw then leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $33.38.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 10-26-22 police responded to the first block of Conoy Rd for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 0800 hrs and 2107 hrs, actor(s) sprayed painted a vulgar statement on the back side of a garage.  Total estimated value of damage $150.00.

THEFT: On 10-28-22 police responded to the 300 block of Barbara St for a theft report.  Sometime between 10-27-22 at 2200 hrs and 10-28-22 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) removed a 5-gallon gas can containing 1 gallon of gas from an unlocked garden shed.  Total estimated value of loss $24.00.

PUBLIC DRUNK: On 10-28-22 Aaron S Weaver (27) of Lancaster was cited with Public Drunkenness (S), stemming from an incident 10-24-22 in the 2100 block of Harrisburg Pk.

HARASSMENT: On 10-28-22 Genevieve Mauz (22) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 10-26-22 in the 700 block of Scarsdale Cir.

HARASSMENT: On 10-29-22 police responded to The Vue at Allison’s, 3035 Columbia Ave, for a domestic that just occurred.  Following investigation, a 17-year-old male of Paradise was cited with Harassment (S).

BURGLARY: On 10-29-22 at 1955 hrs, police responded to a burglary in progress in the first block of E Main St.  The homeowner reported a male was in an enclosed porch at the rear door of the residence with a gun.  Upon arrival, police apprehended Raymond Joseph Shade Jr (46) of Lancaster, in the back yard and removed a “sawed off” shotgun and multiple knives from his person.  Shade was charged with Burglary (F1), Possession of Firearm Prohibited (F2), Illegal Modification of Firearm (M1), Terroristic Threats (M1) and Simple Assault (M2).  Shade was transported to Lancaster County Prison, where he was remanded unable to post bail.

THEFT: On 10-30-22 police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a theft report.  On 10-29-22 at 1900 hrs, a male is captured on video surveillance entering the store and going directly to the rear, where the office is.  He forces entry into the office, setting off the alarm, and then takes 10 cartons of Newport cigarettes before fleeing through the back door.  Total estimated value of loss $1,419.60.

THEFT: On 10-31-22 police responded to the 1500 block of Sylvan Rd for a theft report.  On 10-28-22 at approximately 1030 hrs, a male entered a farm stand and removed money from the cash box.  Total estimated value of loss $235.00.
