Storm With Heavy Winds Causes Damage - Harrisburg Pike Shut!

TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 8:50 P.M., ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 26TH, 2021


Around 7:48 p.m., on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, a rain storm that brought heavy winds with it, struck the Manheim Township area.  These winds caused extensive damage along the Harrisburg Pike corridor, causing fallen trees, and construction debris to be strewn throughout the area.  Harrisburg Pike was subsequently closed between Route 30 and Crossings Boulevard (the entrance to Wegman's / Long's Park), and will remain closed until emergency crews can clean up the area.  Motorists should avoid this area and plan alternate routes of travel.  The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.
