As a First Class Township in Pennsylvania, all police officer applicants are required to first take a civil service test for placement on an eligibility list.  An eligibility list is good for one year after a test is given.  The top three candidates from the eligibility list are considered for each police officer vacancy after a background investigation, polygraph examination and interviews by a selection board.  Drug, physical and psychological tests are also required before appointment.  Unsuccessful applicants are welcome to reapply.

The Manheim Township Police Department participates in the Lancaster County Chiefs of Police Consortium Hiring Test for Police Officer.  Click HERE to access their website to determine the upcoming testing dates.
