STOP SPEEDING BEFORE WE STOP YOU!

Between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 12th, 2021, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department conducted an aggressive driving detail along Route 283 West at York Road.  Officers were specifically targeting excessive speeding, and other aggressive driving actions.  During this time period, thirty-three (33) motorists were stopped, resulting in twenty-three (23) citations for speeding, ten (10) written warnings for speeding, one (1) citation for driving on a suspended license, and one (1) written warning for an expired inspection sticker.  The highest recorded speed was 84 MPH in this 55 MPH posted zone.  Additional traffic details will continue to occur in the upcoming weeks.
