MTPD Targeting Speeding and Other Aggressive Driving! Let's Not Meet Roadside Please!

STOP SPEEDING BEFORE WE STOP YOU!


Following a complaint, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department performed a speed check in the 1700 block of Eden Road in Manheim Township between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021.  During this time period, twenty-two (22) motorists were stopped for exceeding the 25 MPH posted speed limit, which resulted in fourteen (14) citations and eight (8) written warnings being issued.  The highest recorded speed was 52 MPH, which is more than double the speed limit!

Officers will continue to follow up on complaints of speeding and other aggressive driving, and take enforcement action, as necessary.  Please do your part to ensure you not taking part in aggressive driving manners, such as speeding, tailgating, improperly passing, and running red-lights and stop signs.  Remember, we don't want to meet you roadside!
