On Monday, October 25th, the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners passed Ordinance 2021-17, which adopted stricter regulations on consumer fireworks and pyrotechnics in Manheim Township.  With the ordinance going into effect immediately, consumer fireworks are now only permitted on seven days each year:

• Memorial Day: 4 to 10 p.m.
• Chinese New Year: 4 to 10 p.m.
• May 5 (Cinco de Mayo): 4 to 10 p.m.
• July 4: 4 to 10 p.m.
• Labor Day: 4 to 10 p.m.
• December 31: 4 to 11:59 p.m.
• January 1: Midnight to 1 a.m.

First time violations, (upon conviction), shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.  Any further violations of the law could lead to fines of up to $1,000.
