This morning, officers from the Manheim Township Police Department are on scene of two (2) separate crashes in the Township. In both events, the wet roadways have played a factor in the crash. Crash locations are:
- 6:42 a.m.: Pleasure Road at Deer Ford Drive = A vehicle lost control, left the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck a tree.
- 7:09 a.m.: Oregon Pike at Eden Road = A vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
We recognize that our area has experienced a period with limited to no recent rainfall. Drivers are reminded to slow down, pay extra attention, and refrain from using hand-held devices. Drivers should also be using their vehicle headlights and taillights when precipitation is falling or visibility is limited. Let's all get to work and school safely this morning!
