Retail Theft Warrant, October 14, 2025, Target at 1589 Fruitville Pk (MT) – Heather Nicole Grove, F/40, was charged with the above offense following a response to a report of a shoplifter. It was reported that on October 4, 2025, a female, known to be Grove by the witness, entered the store and selected $164.67 worth of merchandise displayed for sale. She went to the self-checkout and pretended to scan the manufacturer's UPC/bar code on the merchandise. However, she scanned a different bar code three times for an item valued at $2.99. Target was at a loss of $156.00 for the transaction. Grove returned on October 5, 2025, at which time she engaged in the same “ticket-switch” scheme. She selected $179.96 worth of merchandise and scanned a $2.99 bar code four times, bringing her transaction total to $11.96. She paid for the fraudulent transaction, but was stopped prior to leaving the store. The merchandise was recovered. Grove attempted to deprive Target of the full retail value of the items, which totaled $168.00. The total value of the stolen merchandise for both incidents was $324.

A criminal complaint was filed, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Heather Nicole Grove remains a wanted person at this time.
