Left-over prescriptions and over the counter medications in our homes can pose dangers to our children, our pets, and our ground water not to mention a potential source for those struggling with addiction.
Because We Care…The East Lampeter Township Police Department has partnered with PA Department of Drug and Alcohol, the DEA, and Kid Cents the Rite Aid Foundation to be a disposal site for prescription and over the counter drugs.
You are welcome to access the drug disposal box in the lobby of the police station during regular business hours. No appointment is necessary, you are welcome to drop in and drop off. All medications should be sealed in original containers, plastic bottles, or zip-lock style bags. Please be sure to limit your disposals to the allowable items:
**all items should be common dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, ointments, and patches; consider removing or redacting your personal information from any labels
