Project Lifesaver is a public safety search and rescue program for people with a cognitive brain condition and are also prone to wandering. Founded in 1999, Project Lifesaver incorporates a wearable locating device to help find and bring home our loved ones.
Project Lifesaver is sponsored in Lancaster County by the Pilot Club of Lancaster County and PA State Police (PSP) Camp Cadet. There are ten (10) full member agencies in Lancaster County and more associate member agencies – East Lampeter Township Police Department is a participating associate member through PSP Troop J Barracks. We currently have three (3) members trained and are expecting more to go through the training. Email, call, or stop in our station to learn more.
