Lt Weaver was promoted through the ranks of the agency:
During his career, Lt Weaver made numerous contributions to the East Lampeter Township Police Department and its citizens. He was a proactive police officer; he trained generations of new officers as a Field Training Officer (FTO) for many years and later as a supervisor. Lt Weaver was the first police officer at East Lampeter Township to serve in all three divisions: Patrol, Detective, and Administrative, making positive changes at each stop. He introduced new procedures to make officers safer and help streamline operations that made the department more efficient. Lt Weaver supervised many high-profile investigations during his career and his impact cannot be overstated. Lt Weaver always considered himself a “cop’s cop” who enjoyed working with the patrol officers and was always ready with a joke and laugh. He could make any night shift or long assignment go quicker.
Lt Weaver will be greatly missed by his family: his wife of 32 years, Louwana, his four children and four grandchildren as well as his law enforcement family. The public is invited to greet the family between 1pm and 4pm on Monday January 10, 2022 at the Lafayette Fire Company 63 Lafayette Way Lancaster, PA 17602. A police Honor Guard will be present to honor and celebrate the life of Lieutenant Robin Weaver.
