On Wednesday October 13, the Conestoga Valley School District hosted its annual Homecoming Week bonfire.  This long standing tradition brings the entire CV School District community together for an evening of fun for all!  Officers from the East Lampeter Township Police along with other first responders, including Witmer Fire Department, also joined in the festivities.  Pictured are Officer Ryan Heistand and Officer Heather Waltman who serves as the School Resource Officer for the district; the Officers were handing out pamphlets to parents with information on drugs and alcohol, "Tips for Teens", and Child ID Kits.  The Officers also got into the fun giving away stickers, trading cards, and glow bracelets as well as tossing football with the kids.  These Officers have a real heart for our youth and do a great job protecting our community and serving others, both on and off duty.  Be sure to say hello when you see them!
