CV Community

UPDATE!  As a follow-up, the East Lampeter Township Police Department, Public Works and Municipal Employees collected funds and gift cards to benefit the CVSD Student Families.  More importantly, our COMMUNITY responded to this immediate need.  We are so grateful for the Conestoga Valley Community and also want to thank Grant Douangsouri, CEO of 717 Solutions (717 Solutions offers prepared meals with 50% of the proceeds going to local businesses, families and veterans) and Tina Edgell for their generous time and financial donations.  Grant chose to donate $250.00 in gift cards towards this need.  In total, we were able to raise over $4,300.00 in cash and gift cards!  On 5/18/2020, the cards were presented to CVSD employees Katie Reiff and Carla DiClemente who will then distribute the cards to those in need.

As we continue to navigate life during this devastating pandemic, the East Lampeter Township would like to recognize an immediate need within our community.  There are numerous Conestoga Valley School District families who have been hit the hardest during these unprecedented times making it difficult to provide basic needs for their families.  East Lampeter Township employees are partnering with the Conestoga Valley School District Social Workers to donate funds and purchase local grocery store gift cards to assist these families with basic food and hygiene supplies.  If you are interested in contributing towards this need, the East Lampeter Township Police Department will be accepting grocery store gift cards until May 8, 2020.  Please place the gift cards into the "exterior mail slot" located near the front doors.

Let's build a stronger community together!
