Suspect, Andrew daniel REED, was taken into custody without incident by New Holland Police Dept. in the early morning hours of Wednesday, 8/5/15.    REED was arraigned at Central Booking on the ELTPD charges and committed to Lancaster Co. Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail. 

At 7:47 am, Tuesday, 8/4/15, ELTPD responded to a discovered attempted burglary at a residence that is undergoing renovations in the 00 blk of Harvest Rd.   Arriving construction workers found an unknown male inside the residence.  The male stated that he was hired to clean up the site and left in a tan 1994 GMC Vandura full size panel van bearing PA registration #JML-0021.   The workers discovered that the male had cut out a large amount of copper wiring and pipes.  The male had also defecated and urinated on newly installed flooring.    The male was identified by ELTPD as Andrew Daniel REED, age 59, who is currently homeless and living out  of his vehicle.   An arrest warrant for Burglary, Criminal Attempt at Theft by Unlawful Taking and Criminal Mischief was obtained by ELTPD officer Mike Redden.   REED is currently at large.    Anyone with information on REED's whereabouts should contact their local police or ELTPD at (717) 291-4676.
