FATAL CRASH – WARWICK TOWNSHIP - Monday, October 23, 2017 at 19:28

UPDATE - The NLCRPD continues the investigation into a single car fatal crash that occurred on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 19:28 hours. The operator of the vehicle identified as STEPHEN D. CHRIST Jr., age 36, of Avondale Terrace, Harrisburg, PA was operating a 2013 Dodge, Dart that left the roadway as it was traveling westbound on East Newport Road and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway prior to impacting an embankment and vaulting over 150 feet prior to impacting the roof of a dwelling and landing on a tree in the back yard of the residence. No residents of the home were injured in the crash. The NLCRPD Crash Reconstruction Unit is handling the crash investigation to determine the primary causal factors (speed) and other factors of causation associated with this event.
