July 8, 2022, @ 4:44 PM NLCRPD responded to a vehicle crash that occurred in the 1100 block of East Newport Road in Warwick Township. A white Ram pick-up truck, operated by Taylor HAWKINS of Lititz, had been traveling eastbound on East Newport Road when he crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and struck an oncoming Toyota SUV, operated by Nathan KLINE of Myerstown, PA.  All occupants were taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. HAWKINS reported that he had “fallen asleep” at the wheel prior to the accident. HAWKINS was cited with violations associated with careless driving and failing to stay within the proper lane of travel.
